The air and water combination is frequently used as a cooling medium. Condensers of this type use air as the external medium to reject the heat from the system. These Air-cooled condensers are designed with copper coils where water flows in and the air is continuously circulated over the condenser surface by a fan which is designed to mount on the Condenser frame. Hence It is also referred to as a Forced Convection type condenser.These condensers typically incorporate fins on the airside to facilitate effective heat transfer.
