How It Works

Each channel uses a BSS138 N-channel MOSFET with pull-up resistors on both the high-voltage and low-voltage sides. When a low-side device pulls a line LOW, the MOSFET conducts and pulls the high side LOW as well - and vice versa. When neither side is pulling LOW, the pull-up resistors hold both sides HIGH at their respective voltage levels.
