The OV5647 5MP 1080P IR-Cut Camera designed for Raspberry Pi 3/4 offers automatic day-night mode switching, tailored for seamless integration with Raspberry Pi boards. Utilizing the dedicated CSI interface, specifically engineered for camera interfacing, this camera attachment ensures smooth operation with all Pi revisions.

Equipped with a 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor, this camera delivers stunning 1080p resolution. What sets it apart is its IR-cut sensor, ensuring superior image quality both day and night. While conventional cameras struggle with reddish images in daylight due to the absence of an IR filter in the CCD, this IR-cut camera excels in capturing high-quality images under varying lighting conditions.

For night vision capabilities, the camera features externally attachable IR LEDs, complemented by mounting holes for connecting infrared and fill flash LEDs. An onboard photoresistor serves as an ambient light detector, enabling automatic day-night mode switching. Additionally, an adjustable resistor allows for fine-tuning the threshold at which the infrared LED toggles, ensuring optimal performance in different lighting environments.

Installation is hassle-free, facilitated by screw holes for attachment and power supply. The camera connects to the Raspberry Pi via a short ribbon cable, offering native 5-megapixel resolution and fixed focus lens. Capable of capturing static images at 2592 x 1944 pixels, it also supports video recording at various resolutions, including 1080p 30, 720p 60, and 640x480p 60/90.
